More information on electronic car keys
In my previous post about
my problem with electronic car keys, I did not realise that the car will
only start by pressing the button if the car keys are actually close to
the car. So, it would not be possible for a thief to simply press the
button and start the car if the keys were not present. Thanks to Andy
for pointing this out. Of course, it still leaves the problem that if
the doors cannot be locked due to an electrical fault in the system, any
items can still be stolen from the vehicle. Thanks again, Andy for the
correction.
